Dr. Heagy's Story
For as long as she can remember, Dr. Heagy dreamed of becoming a doctor. Growing up, she pictured a physician who truly knew their patients — someone who listened, cared deeply, and walked alongside people through every stage of life. It wasn’t until medical school that she discovered family medicine, the perfect match for the kind of care she always believed in.
Dr. Heagy grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland, and attended the University of Maryland, College Park, before earning her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her residency training at the York Hospital Family Medicine Program and, since 2015, has been honored to care for families in the Southern York County community.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Heagy enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. Whether she’s curled up with a good book, hosting a lively family game night, or volunteering in the community, she treasures building strong connections — both inside and outside the exam room.
